Course Description

This course is intended as an introduction to solving differential and studying properties of solutions.

Textbook

The textbook for the course is "Elementary differential equations with BVPs, 5th edition,''
C. Henry Edwards, David E. Penney

Grading Policy

There will be 3 exams given in class. Each exam counts as one score. A missed exam gives a score of zero and there are no makeup exams --- although, under extreme (and well documented) circumstances, it is possible to make arrangements to take a test in advance.

There will be approximately 12 online homework assignments using WebWork. The homework will count as 1 score.

The final exam will count for 2 more scores. This final is a comprehensive final.

After the final you will have 6 scores. Your final grade for the course will be determined by the average of your best 4 of these 6 scores.
